ExtendAir is the first entry-level microwave radio system to offer advanced features such as built-in Layer 2 switching, 3-port Ethernet, full-speed 256-bit AES encryption, Ethernet rate limiting and SNMPv3 management. ExtendAir native TDM capability is a first for license-exempt systems. All ExtendAir radios support multi-level QoS and VLAN tagging for complete traffic management flexibility. Moreover, ExtendAir radios offer 'pay-as-you-grow' scalability, with field-upgradable capacity and sustained high throughput and high 99.999% availability over ranges up to 22 miles (35 kilometers). At the same time, ExtendAir radios are small, lightweight and easy to install and maintain.

Exalt designed the ExtendAir product line to cost-effectively meet the full range of connectivity needs required by mobile operators, WISPs, government agencies, municipalities, utilities, schools, hospitals and the Global 2000. Product Details, Pricing and Availability

ExtendAir products currently shipping include the all-outdoor, 5 GHz license-exempt r5000 and rc5000 models (1x10/100BaseT), the r5005 and rc5005 models (3x10/100BaseT), and the r5010, rc5010, r5015 and c5015 models (1x10/100BaseT with 4xT1/E1). Licensed band models include 18 and 23 GHz (FCC) and 13, 15, 18 and 23 GHz (ETSI) and will start shipping in fourth quarter, 2009.

For mounting flexibility, ExtendAir systems are available with integrated antennas ("r" versions) or connectorized for use with external antennas ("rc" versions). All systems are designed to withstand harsh weather and environmental conditions, and operate over a temperature range of -40 to +65 degrees Celsius.

All Exalt radio systems -- licensed and license-exempt -- are carrier-class systems offering guaranteed link availability, guaranteed throughput and low, constant latency. Systems are available in FCC and ETSI frequencies from 2 to 40 GHz and in single-carrier capacities up to 700 Mbps, providing a range of options to fit countless network applications. Designed to enable a smooth transition to IP, Exalt radio systems offer native support for both TDM and Ethernet, and are fully software configurable and upgradeable. Data security is provided by available FIPS 197-compliant and full-speed AES 128-bit and 256-bit encryption that adds zero latency to the transmission.
